Bon Voyage!

Post 6: June 26

Well, this is it! We leave tomorrow, so I’m getting all packed up. Grandma and Grandpa gave me this sweet picture of them. I miss them already. 

Honestly, I was feeling pretty frazzled about the packing, but Mom says the motto for the trip is: “Stay loose!” That means we should just go with the flow and don’t stress too much. That’s something I have a bit of trouble with. I can’t help it—I’m a planner! I like to know ahead of time what’s going to happen and when. But when traveling to another country, things don’t always go as planned. 

I’m so excited to see my aunt and uncle and Sylvie, but I’m also starting to get some butterflies in my tummy. Everything is going to be so different! And I’ve only met Sylvie once—what if we don’t like the same things? But I’m going to try to be like Mom, and take things as they come. And right now, bedtime is coming. 

Wish me luck . . . tomorrow, my adventure really begins!
